Roy Jones Jr thinks Tyson Fury would kill Daniel Dubois if they fought and so doesn't want to see it

Roy Jones Jr is not interested in seeing a heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois.

Late last month, Dubois was stopped in the ninth round of his clash with Usyk, as the Ukrainian defended his WBA, WBO and IBF unified heavyweight world titles.

And Jones Jr is glad that Usyk won, as he wants to see an undisputed clash against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Whereas if Dubois had won, Jones Jr does not believe a fight between him and 'The Gyspy King' would have been competitive.

“Usyk is unbeaten. We don’t wanna see Dubois fight Fury, we know Fury gonna kill the boy," Jones Jr said on his YouTube channel.

"We cool, but we don’t wanna see that. In the end, because a jab took you out, we cool that Usyk got the decision.”

With that being said, there was some controversy in the Usyk vs Dubois fight, as the Brit attempted a body shot in round five that dropped his opponent, but it was ruled a low-blow by the referee.

After the fight Dubois claimed he was 'cheated' out of becoming world champion and his promoter Frank Warren has officially submitted an appeal to have the fight declared a 'no contest' and he wants a rematch to be called.

Jones Jr, however, believes it was down to the referee's call and it is all part and parcel of boxing, as he said: "I understand Daniel probably felt like it was a body shot, or it was borderline, but the fact that it was borderline gives the referee the option to do whatever he feels best.

"So, he played it safe and said ‘we’ll count it as a low blow because it was borderline.’ Now were there trunks probably higher than they should’ve been? Yes, both of them. But that’s boxing.”
