During their Mexico trip, Heathco and Lutz were found unresponsive in their hotel room on Tuesday, 13 June, after apparently being poisoned by an unknown substance.
After that, Paramedics were called to the couple’s hotel room. However, once paramedics checked, they determined the duo were unresponsive and did not have vital signs.

Abby Lutz and John Heathco were a couple who died in a Mexican hotel. Reportedly, they were on vacation together in Baja California Sur.
The pair stayed at the Rancho Pescadero, a luxury hotel and Hyatt property based in El Pescader, approximately 40 miles north of Cabo San Lucas. They experienced symptoms they thought were constant with food poisoning and went to the hospital for treatment.
Days later, Heathco and Lutz started feeling much better. Unfortunately, their family received a call saying that they had passed away peacefully in their hotel room in their sleep.
When the news was shared online, everyone was shocked, and they began pouring tributes and condolence messages to the whole family and friends.

Heathco and Lutz Death Cause: Suicide or Murder
Abby Lutz and John Heathco passed away at the age of 28 and 41, respectively. Following their death, multiple speculations have risen on the internet saying that it may be a murder or a suicide.
None of them are true, as Heathco and Lutz reportedly took their last breath after carbon monoxide poisoning. They were found at the Hotel Rancho Pescadero in El Pescadero in the state of Baja California Sur.
Paramedics arrived at the scene at around 9 pm on Tuesday, but they were not able to save. The Baja California Sur Attorney General’s Office reported Lutz hailed from Newport Beach while they didn’t give info about where Heathco was from.
Reportedly, the lovebirds had been dead for around 10 or 11 hours before they were found. The attorney general’s office has also reported that there were no signs of any kind of violence to their bodies.

The family of Heathco and Lutz have already started a fundraiser on GoFundMe. As said earlier, the duo were from the United States of America, and they died in Mexico.
So, the family is raising funds to bring them back home and organize the funeral services in the way they deserve. At the time of this post, no details regarding their funeral services have been shared.
