Chelsea Handler Bids Farewell to Her Show

Everyone wave; Chelsea Handler has said goodbye to her hit show. After seven years, Chelsea Lately has ended its successful run, and Handler made sure she went out with a bang. Her finale included a number of famous faces and a musical number. It was hilarious and worth watching.

“I’ve made great friends, a lot of enemies, and I have personally lost and gained 3,500 pounds,” she said during her farewell. Ellen DeGeneres made an appearance to ask why Handler never invited her on the show. Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston stopped by to say goodbye. Handler’s ex-boyfriend, 50 Cent, made an appearance. Miley Cyrus performed.

The best part of the farewell show, however, came at the end of the show when Handler was joined on stage by dozens of celebrities who helped her sing a musical number that she called, “Goodbye to E!”

“It’s time to move on. Handler wants to sing. She wants to dance and get her groove on,” sang stars such as Alanis Morissette, Kevin Nealon, Tim Allen, Gwen Stefani and even Gerard Butler. She’s got a new job lined up. While there’s not much known about the show just yet, it’s going to be one that you can watch on Netflix. It appears to be a first talk show, and there is no date for release at this point. She did, however, say goodbye to her fans and audience, as well as her famous guests by telling them she’ll see them on Netflix.

The finale was everything that fans expected. It was a star-studded, hilarious event that will remain fresh in the minds of Handler viewers everywhere. Her sharp wit, sarcastic comment and dry humor will be missed on television, but she will be back. Thank goodness, because we aren’t sure how we will survive without her saying the things we all only wish we could say.
